For those kind enough to ask about how I did my hair in the Instagram Video companion to this post here, this is the story. (Disclaimer: I'm not a hair girlie.) So I am blow dryer inept but I love how my hair feels after a cut and blow out, so I picked up this Revlon blow dryer brush tool on a whim and on sale at Costco and it's like the easiest most doable thing. I can use it to give my hair a smooth and shine, easy 3 minute waves and even round brush my bangs all in one.
3 Min Waves "Tutorial" (air quotes because again, I am not qualified to teach anyone about their hair!)
- Brush out your hair
- Part into two sections
- With the blow dryer brush, start to brush down from the top of one side, then begin to slowly twist and spin the brush catching all the hair on that side and turning out away from your face.
- Keep twisting and gently pulling down until you've gathered that whole half of your hair in one twist. (You can repeat this a couple of times to catch any hair that was left out and then repeat on the second side.)
- Let it cool for 2-4 minutes.
- Gently rake your fingers through to separate the one big curl into waves and tada!
